SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FORMULE Golf makes a commitment to the environment
Formule Golf offers a world of pleasure but also cares about the future, and has made a commitment to the environment and to sustainable development with the introduction of a variety of measures. Thus many “reasoned” operating initiatives are implemented in order to preserve our environment and its great riches:
- Optimisation of water usage (measurement, monitoring, traceability)
- Management of sprinkling by centralised computer
- Use of recycled water on 6 of our courses
- Biological treatment of water reserves
- Reduction of additives(water, phyto-sanitary products, fertilisers)
- Mechanical working of soil (use of conditioners)
- Elimination of preventive treatments
- Use of alternative and natural treatment products
- Traceability procedures aiming to protect nature and our staff
- Recycling of packages and effluent
- Sorting of waste on the course
- Sorting of waste in the workshop
- Shared use of a waste disposal grinder
- Electrical carts and buggies
- Hybrid lawn mowers
- Use of organic oil and grease
- Preservation of woods and undergrowth
- Preservation of rough areas (non-playing areas) to encourage nesting of birds, rodents, etc.
- Reduction of scrub clearing around ponds (small animals, batrachians, etc.)
- Presence of many water bodies (refuge for migratory birds)
